The Anza Borrego desert
You haven’t lived until you watch the sun rise in “The Anza Borrego Desert” on the east side of San Diego county. Borrego Springs is an enchanting little town in the desert and is full of artists. In the summer Borrego Springs shuts down for a few months because of heat, 120 in the shade. The rest of the year it is a haven for people mountain biking, hiking or looking for the big horn sheep that live on the mountains surrounding the valley, or they come out to see the desert flowers bloom.
